Health & Safety is a crucial factor of our day to day working environments for both our staff, clients, customers and members of the public. When considering moving any load, Health & Safety is paramount.

Keith Rhodes Machinery Installations Ltd take all precautions to reduce the risk of accidents occurring to Keith Rhodes operatives and client personnel when on site.
As standard, prior to arrival by Keith Rhodes operatives, a pack containing job-specific information will be supplied. This will contain a risk assessment, method statement, manual handling assessment, PPE assessment, checklists and drawings for setting out our transport/cranes etc.
Any client-specific Health & Safety documentation will be in addition to all standard Keith Rhodes documentation.
We will also provide details of insurance and our Health and Safety Policy.

All equipment is stringently checked prior to use and replaced as necessary.  All lifting gear and equipment have regular recorded checks. Certificates accompany all on-site equipment and an additional copy of these can be supplied if necessary.

In addition to drawings supplied within the Health & Safety pack, Keith Rhodes Machinery Installations Ltd can offer ‘one-off’ site drawings, out-rigger pad calculations and technical information on any equipment.

All Keith Rhodes equipment used on the job will have accompanying technical specifications supplied as PDF documents (this is only if requested).

Job specific Safe System of Work (SSoW)

What is a SSoW?

A SSoW is defined as a Safe System of Work. It consists of a risk assessment, method statement and lift plans where required; also statutory assessments for COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations), LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) and PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998).

Who produces your SSoW?

We have a NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) and Tech-IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) qualified Consultant, who undertakes all our Health & Safety advice and work.

What's the timescale for the SSoW?

We prefer 14 days upon receiving a written order to produce the SSoW, however, this can vary depending on the urgency of a job.

What training do employees receive?

All our employees receive up to date in-house training and specialist training, in relation to the type of work we undertake by our NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) and Tech-IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) consultant.
